As a local support group the Grieving Hearts group encourages those suffering the grief of having lost a loved one or dear friend to attend. The loss need not be recent as those who have overcome this difficult time and wish to share their comfort with others are also welcome to participate.
The Fayette Park & Rec Annual Tennis tournaments will be held in July this year. The doubles tournament will be starting Thursday, July 23th and ending by Monday, July 27th. The deadline to enter is Sunday, July 19th for doubles. There is no entry fee for this event. Contact Stephen Fulmer (205) 270-9891 to register.

This month's speaker will be Mr. Delbert Reed, an author and former Tuscaloosa News sports editor. The meeting will be held at the Fayette Civic Center beginning at noon. Come a little early to get your plate and socialize with friends and other business people of the Fayette area. Visitors are welcome. Lunch is $6.00.

The 2015 Fayette County Sports Hall of Fame Banquet will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 6:30 PM at the Earl McDonald Auditorium on the campus of Bevill State. Admission price is $15 and may be purchased at Fayette Civic Center and the Fayette City Hall.
